The Candler Field Youth Mentorship Program was founded in 2013 for the sole purpose of imparting knowledge of aircraft related subjects to young people who have a keen interest in beginning a career in aviation. The program was formed by the Board of Directors of the Candler Field Museum. Several of the members of the board are either currently involved in an aviation career or have retired from an aviation career. Most of these board members were guided by someone in this field when they were young. All want to “give back” through an organized program that will help young people establish a meaningful career.
